Hi friends! Thank you for taking the time to click on my blog. I’ve always wanted to start a personal blog and I am grateful that in this new year, I finally have the time to do so.
One of the main reasons why I have started this blog is to improve my writing skills. Since finishing my undergraduate studies at the end of 2019, I no longer feel the strain of pending deadlines. But at the same time, I am no longer under pressure to present well written and researched assignments. Someone once told me that it is important to keep writing regardless of what stage of life you are in, and I definitely intend to follow their advice.
Secondly, I would like to use this platform to share my thoughts with you all. Many times I find it easier to share things by writing them down, as this is far less intimidating than speaking face to face with people. It also helps me collect my thoughts and to be more direct in what I say.
A third reason why I have been eager to start my blog is because we live in an age where truth is becoming more and more relative. Thinking for yourself is discouraged, and standing up for what is right is unacceptable. The world has developed a “go with the flow” mentality and anyone who refuses to fall in with the crowd is either publicly shamed, or bullied into silence. This mentality has motivated and forced me to think more seriously about what I believe. What are some essential issues I am willing to stand up for, and why?
I am looking forward to the challenge of stretching my brain and dealing with some interesting topics. I am also keen to hear your feedback; please feel free to share your thoughts in the comments. I am also hoping to receive ideas for future blogs, so please definitely share your thoughts on issues you would like me to write on in future blogs. I pray that God will use this blog to encourage you and that He will be glorified through it.

Greetings Teacher Chyreece! This is a God-ordained task you have been given. He has gifted you for it, and we pray that others will be equipped through this to be built up and to in turn build up the body of Christ.
Ephesians 4:11-16 “And he gave the apostles, prophets, evangelists, shepherds and teachers to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ…so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes…with each part of the body working properly…growing and building itself up in love”.
Prayers in abundance for this new venture of yours. Looking forward to your posts.
God bless you,
Marian
